How to Find A Cheap Sauna

There are good saunas and there are cheap saunas, but is it possible to get a good cheap sauna? Of course it is, there are always deals to be had on anything and sauna sales are pretty common. The key is knowing what type of sauna you need before you buy.

Spend time doing research on the different kinds of saunas and go out to a store to try them out once you’ve narrowed things down. Decide right away whether you’re looking for a regular sauna or an infrared sauna. There’s a big difference in the feel of each as well as the price. Infrared saunas tend to be much cheaper than the traditional hot rock sauna.

Take the time to figure out what size sauna you’ll need. When it comes to saunas bigger is not necessarily better, especially if you’re looking to score a cheap sauna. It doesn’t make sense to buy more sauna than you’ll need, so figure out how many people would be using the sauna at one time before you start shopping.

Naturally the bigger saunas will be more expensive, but you can find cheap 4 person saunas, cheap 3 person saunas and cheap 2 person saunas. Just know what you need before you buy. If you really want a cheap sauna then go with a small one if possible and try to find a sauna sale.

When you’re deciding how big your sauna should be make sure you take into account the size of the people using it too. Small people and skinny people take up less room and smaller saunas will be fine for them, but if you and your husband are both XL size then you’ll want some extra space if you don’t want to feel like a couple of sardines in your new sauna.

Make sure you’ll have enough space for the sauna in your house too. And keep in mind things like electrical and plumbing hook-ups. They should be nearby the sauna or you’ll spend much more than you’ve saved trying to get the darned thing hooked up.

If you’re handy then you’re ahead of the game. As with anything else around the house the very cheapest way to go is to do it yourself. Building it from scratch will be a huge job, but there are sauna kits available and all you need to do is assemble the parts. You can get a pretty cheap sauna this way if you’re comfortable and confident that you can do the assembly yourself.

A really good Finnish hot rock sauna can cost over $4000, but it’s quite possible to get one much cheaper than that if you take the time to search, do your homework and find one of the online sauna sales. It may take you a bit longer to get just the sauna you want and need, but you get to save quite a bit of money in some cases which will make it well worth it. There are plenty of cheap saunas online all you need to do is search.

3 Tips for Buying Saunas Online

You might not believe it, but buying saunas online is becoming more popular each year. Even though they can be large the cost savings of an online sauna purchase often outweighs the cost of shipping when buying a sauna. Many times you’ll find sauna sales online. So if you’re thinking of buying a sauna online you’re definitely not alone.

There are several tips you’ll want to follow when buying a sauna online. Of course they also apply to offline sauna purchases, but become even more important if you buy your sauna online. Remember this is a major purchase and doing your homework will pay it’s dividends in the long run.

1. Start by checking ALL of the makes and models for the type of sauna you are looking to buy. I know this will take some time, but it’s going to be well worth it once you start comparing features and prices of the various saunas. And since this is an online purchase you can do it from the comfort of your own home. Go get your favorite hot or cold beverage and plan to spend several hours in front of the computer comparing all the different models of sauna out there. You’ll be glad that you did when it comes time to purchase your sauna.

2. Check to see what kind of wood your new sauna is made of. Cedar is by far the best wood for a sauna and you should look for saunas made from cedar. Your sauna will absorb a lot of water and other woods are not nearly as good at handling this as cedar wood. If you don’t want to deal with warping a cracking later make sure it’s cedar.

3. Once your sauna arrives I recommend that you have a professional install it. It might be a bit pricey, but it’s well worth it to have the peace of mind knowing that your new sauna is properly installed and you won’t have to worry later about leaking or electrical problems. In the worst case the sauna could be a tragedy waiting to happen if not installed properly. You can save money by buying a cheap sauna, but don’t skimp on installation.

Once you start looking and comparing I think you’ll agree that buying your sauna online is the way to go. No need to take yourself out to the store or deal with salesmen looking for sauna sales, just relax and research until you find the model that’s right for you. And then enjoy your brand new sauna!
